Workforce Investment Boards (WIBs) are regional entities created by the federal government to implement the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, soon to be the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act of 2015. The WIB’s main role is to direct federal, state and local funding to workforce development programs. As such, the Crater Regional Workforce Investment Board has created a strategic plan to ensure its initiatives are aligned with the workforce needs of the region.
